The gametypes.txt file contains important information about the binary that the server is running. If it has old or stale information, your server could become unstable or mani-admin-plugin could cease to function properly. As more and more updates come out, the gametypes file could feasibly change every day. An update is only necessary if VALVe released a game update. Normally, the latest version of your gametypes.txt is shipped within your download of Mani Admin Plug-in and it is not necessary to run the gametypes.txt creator.
So, we are pleased to announce a resource for the community where people can download updated gametypes.txt files for their servers.
If the binaries have been updated, the generated gametypes information will reflect a new time stamp. If the time stamp here is newer than the one on your server, then you will need to update.
